Prayer Books & Inspirational Media

We have a God who is always available to commune and fellowship with us. Some people who have yet to develop this kind of relationship with Him tend to rely on others to motivate, encourage and pray for them. But He has given us the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, to lead, guide and direct us into all truth as He reveals Christ Jesus. God enables us to live the original intent that He had for His creation in the beginning.

It is amazing how modern technology has captivated us so much that many men, women and children spend the majority of our time glued to their electronic devices. They are seeking and sharing information, thoughts, desires, rants and intentions. I am glad that some look for and share the things of God.

On land-line telephones, if you want information you dial 4-1-1. This 411 is a local and long distance directory service. The operator will look up phone numbers that you request for a person or a business. Even a person search is available if you provide them with the phone number but don’t know what or who it’s for. 411 used to be free but now there is a cost for using the service.

But if you want information from the Lord, and a prophet is not around to give you a word, then God has provided His 4-1-1. His number is Deuteronomy 4:11 – “And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds, and thick darkness. v12 And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.” He wants you to know that when you want to speak to Him and hear from Him, He is available. He wants to fellowship with you any time, everyday.

If you have a problem with your telephone you can dial 6-1-1 to report it for repair. The phone company will determine the cause and fix the problem in their office or send a repairman to the cable box or your home. But it may take several days for it to be restored.

But if you think God hasn’t seen your issue or know that you have temporal needs, then He has given you a number where you find out what is available to and for you. His number is Deuteronomy 6:11 – “And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full.” Declare it, believe and receive it. You have a promise and the benefits of being His son or daughter.

In an emergency, you would call 9-1-1 for any situation that requires immediate assistance from the police or fire department, or ambulance service. But if you have a spiritual challenge to your faith, hope and confidence that only God can rectify, He has provided us with His promises, old testament and new. His number is Deuteronomy 9:11 – “And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.” His new testament number is Hebrews 9:11 – “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; v12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.”

Give God a call day or night — His number is never busy.
