Prayer gives you a greater desire and ability to disengage from the sources of corruptible influences or environments. It also develops, nurtures and strengthens a consciousness of God and His Kingdom. You gain a quicker and easier yieldedness to His will. Motives borne out of a right relationship with Jesus Christ is a life that desires to be pleasing in His sight. It is a life that desires to be taught how to become a spiritual partaker of His divine nature.
God also processes you for sanctification. Our sanctification came through the finished work of Jesus Christ, the shedding of His blood to redeem us from the curse of the law, adjusting and aligning our carnal nature to a spiritual nature that is in right standing with God. But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 1 Thessalonians 2:13.
